To Micheal Savage Jan. 6, Merry Christmas to Orthodox Christians! **********************

On Georgian Calendar today is JC's birthday. Merry Christmas to those who celebrate today!
This one for me is more religious than the one on Julian Calendar, which is official federal holiday celebrated on December 25th in the US. For me is more entertaining and commercial, which I don't mind and enjoy fully, and today's is more religious one when I go to church to hear liturgy music and pray. According to tradition of Orthodox Church, today faithful should wear light color clothing, go to church to receive the Good News, get blessings from clergy (which meant to help the renewal of body and soul), be in a cheerfully spirits, maintain a good mood, be kind and do charitable things to others.
There is also a dietary tradition, such as eating grain (wheat or rice) with honey, etc. In the morning ceremony people light candles in front of alters in more than 30 000 Orthodox Cathedrals and Churches around the world. Mr. Putin always goes to Church and joins the public on high holidays like this.
Something brief about meaning of today is at ntv.ru/novosti/1591316/video.
JC's christening by John the Baptist will be celebrated at Jan. 19th.
[I was baptized 2 times, maybe I need the third one to complete the Holy Trinity. ::))]

Tender hour of 4am in NYC, it's freezing outside. I'm going to sleep cuddling with my Christmas gift - baby polar bear. She is white like a snow, fluffy like fuzzball and the 2nd biggest in my toy collection. The biggest one is the Ralph the Giraffe. He is a real life-size baby giraffe. I love my stuffed animals. Why do I talk about them? Baby Jesus was born in manger and was surrounded by barn animals. No polar bears or giraffes, but still. I have others too. You've got the picture.

About 10:30pm in NYC and 6:30am in Moscow, which is Christmas morning. Evening ceremony lasts about 4 hours. Russia's head of the state - Putin and the head of the government - Medvedev as usual went to church.
Putin met Christmas in Turginovo village, Tversk region, in the temple of the church of Holy Virgin, where his parents were baptized, at ntv.ru/novosti/1591697/video.
After service he gave a gift to the church,- Smolensk icona of Holy Mother.
Medvedev with his family met Christmas in Moscow's Cathedral of Christ the Savior where the Patriarch of all Rus Krill was heading the service, at ntv.ru/novosti/1591678.

Also In Syria, Russian soldiers put up a field temple where chaplain Ilya gave the Christmas service, at ntv.ru/novosti/1591778.

In last 20 years there have been a spiritual revival in Russia and Putin, who has been a faithful all his life, has been supporting the process during his Presidency financially and culturally.
