Yesterday I listened to first 2 hour of your show and had enough emotional turmoil from just imagining a war with Russia.
Media's stupid talk about whether Russia's air strikes in Syria are good or bad, to whom and why, is really disturbing for a whole host of reasons. I'll come back to that later.  **********************

Look at ntv.ru/novosti/1540936 report, where P says that Assad asked for support, which makes the operation legitimate under international law. Russia has from 2000 to 3000 people fighting with .S.L, success of which can bring those people out of Syria back into Russian soil. It's a strategic security issue for RF and its neighbors. Russian Parliament - Duma unanimously voted for President P's recommendation to use air force.
All the badmouthing hoopla pouring out of US mess-media (yes, mess as messed-up instead of mass) makes no sense for simple reason that they don't know nothing about anything.
Bozos keep asking whether P is perusing "his countries interests? Duuuhhhh?! Why shouldn't it?
Historically Russia's foreign policy has been to support the existing government, guided by believe that change has to come from within.
America does just the opposite; supports the opposing forces against their governments. As anyone can check on its own what results they have "achieve" by doing so, I'm on the Russian side, because simply they know better. Russian empire has been in existence much longer and all the troubles US makes are closer to Russia than to America. Syria its traditional ally and RF has "interests" in there.
Why US pulled the operation "dessert storm" putting its troops in Kuwait? Papa Bush said "we have 'interests' in there." Fine and dandy.
Russia has interests in middle east too, especially in friendly to it Syria. That's all, end of the story.
Assadofficially asked for help from Putin and under the int'l law RF has freedom to make decision respond or not without getting a green light from UN.

Afternoon news;
Russian source shows all airstrikes by Russian air forces in Syria to reporters on the screen from Defense Coordinating Center in Moscow. At the time of this report there have been more than 20 shellings from the sky against .S.L and each of them are explained by the commander of the center. It's at 1tv.ru/news/social/293302. This is also the place where information about the operations' results come back to. Hits so far have been on target because RF uses the highest end technology. Head of information department of Ministry of Defense, Igor Konashenkov shows and explains on the screen what exactly have been destroyed and how for each strike.
You watch and hear, I don't have nerve for all of this clip.

At 1tv.ru/news/social/293303 report says that armed forces of RF and the US are establishing contact to share the important information in order to coordinate their powers.
Today at Presidential Council on Human Rights in Kremlin Putin underlined the theme of social security and legal treatment of military men involved in this operation.

Second day of operations reported on Russian national TV in real time with commentaries is

Main targets of Russian air strikes are the ammunition's stockpiles, communication centers and the technology of .S.L, at 1tv.ru/news/world/293339.

There is an open debate scrutinizing every detail of the decision making process of this operation with many high ranking politicians and experts of Int'l law and military who participated in it on Russian TV channels. Plus live reports from ground in Syria and constant updating of numbers and movements from  info. control center shown live.
It's pretty exciting to see that finally Russia is doing something without giving in to those who hate their guts no matter what anyway. Assad's request for help as legal document was shown to members of Duma and President's Security Council unanimously agreed to give a green light to air operations From RF offer to help support Assad's air force only. There is no plan to help on the ground.

The document to support Syrian official forces states that the goal of operation is to help preserve the statehood in Syria and protect Russian interests.
It's not for helping Assad's government and not only fighting against .S.L.
There are other groups who are like .S.L, but are fighting against each other and against .S.L. Some of them are those who America called the "good" opposition and armed them.

For now I don't think anyone will be 100% sure who is who. I don't think those who live and fight against each other even know who is who, where and how. But in this particular case personally I'd trust Russian intelligence and knowledge of region's specific political and social circumstances than over American. Putin recently met with PM of Israel, most likely they're on the same page. Couple of day's ago P. shook O's hand and O gave his agreement with his silence too.
America's inconsistent and short-sided foreign policy has been a big headache for Russia for many decades now and I'm glad that at this time Russia shows that it means business.
To me, should I be decision maker in RF, would go tonight and get the hell out of Kiev thugs from Eastern Ukraine. Enough is enough bleeding for a bear! Time for the bear to roar, ransack the place and set the record straight!
Something is looking up; Russian and American military men first time started consulting over the Syria through closed teleconference, at 1tv.ru/news/world/293341. 
Ministry of Defense of RF announced that idea of establishing of such channel of communication was expressed by Washington 2 days ago after P and O met at UN.

I hear that somewhere in the media they're showing pictures of dead civilians as if killed from Russian airstrikes. Russian official news channels call them fakes.
