Belarus elected new President, Igor Dodon, which is "pro-Russian." In my opinion it's very good for the region, its economy and relations between Slavic nations. Dodon said that "pro-EU" contract
signed by his predecessor took Belarus down in every step of the way. They were hoping that EU would buy their agricultural products and pay more than RF was paying, but it didn't happen.
Not only they didn't get more, but didn't get anything, because their products weren't needed in the West, then they didn't get their "dream" non-visa regime with EU either. So they got trapped in poverty and in bad relations with big brother RF and became tri-factor-loser.
